A special thanks to everyone who “decorated” the Mitten Tree with mittens, gloves, scarves, and hats! Mrs. Schiestel will take the donations — packed in four large boxes - to St. Paul Lutheran on Dorchester Avenue in Chicago, our sister school.
Once again this year, timing is crucial this year. We want to make sure that they have the donation BEFORE school lets out for break so that the children will receive the items before Christmas. St. Paul, in turn, will donate remaining mittens, scarves, and hats to a ministry they work with — Pilgrim Lutheran, Chicago.
