Volunteers will be putting together K.I.T. (Keep In Touch) care packages for those in the military and those attending college (either local or away) on Saturday, September 17 at 9:00 a.m. in Immanuel’s Fellowship Hall. More information on that process…
Afterwards, parents will have the opportunity to spend some time talking about the college experience and how to prepare the high schoolers for college, along with the ever important topic of financial aid. An expert from Harper College will talk about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and explain the changes in the FAFSA that take effect on October 1.
This event is open to everyone, but is specifically directed at parents of high school and college students, as well as parents of military personnel.
Sign up college students/military personnel via by completing a form, available in Fellowship Hall at the K.I.T. table. Donations of single serving food for the care packages are also willingly accepted…pop top soup, single serving mac and cheese, granola bars, healthy snacks, etc.
