American Heritage Girls (AHG) and Trail Life USA (TL) troops will celebrate Scout Sunday in churches across the nation on February 5. Scout Sunday is an event to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to scouting. American Heritage Girls Troop IL 0412 and Trail Life USA Troop 0412 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Palatine are participating.

AHG and TL USA troops meet together to grow in faith, be of service while having fun, practicing leadership, experiencing teamwork and building friendships. Girls and Boys enjoy outdoor adventure activities, character building, leadership opportunities, and over 400 badge opportunities combined within age-appropriate groups in an environment that embraces Christian values and encourages family involvement.

ahg_troopAmerican Heritage Girls is a faith-based character development program for girls K-age 18 years of age. AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. Founded in 1995 in Cincinnati, Ohio, AHG has grown from ten troops and 100 members to over 40,000 members across 5 countries and 49 U.S. states. Girls participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on Christian values and family involvement.

trail_Life_info_ImmanuelTrail Life USA is a Christian Outdoor Adventure, Character, and Leadership Program for boys and young men. Operating from Troops that are chartered through churches in 48 states, the K-age 25 program centers on outdoor experiences that build a young man’s skills and allow him to grow on a personal level and as a role model and leader for his peers. Living the Trail Life is a journey established on timeless values derived from the Bible.
