Immanuel offers three services each weekend in three distinct styles.
Blended Service
Saturdays @ 5:00pm
Traditional hymns in a relaxed setting, without formal liturgy. Christ-centered and welcoming for all generations
Traditional Service
Sundays @ 8:00am
A reverent, liturgical service rooted in Lutheran tradition, featuring classic hymns and structured worship
Modern Service
Sundays @ 10:30am
A casual, vibrant service with contemporary music, dynamic lighting and sound, and a relevant, Bible-based message
ABOUT HOLY COMMUNION
Holy Communion is celebrated weekly. At our 8:00am Traditional service, we gather together around the altar. At our 5:00pm Blended and 10:30am Modern services, guests are dismissed by row to receive Holy Communion or a blessing in front of the altar. Holy Communion is offered to those who have been instructed in what the Scriptures teach about Communion. We believe the Bible teaches:
1) Jesus Christ is our only Lord and Savior from all sin, death, and the power of evil;
2) The Risen Christ is really present in the Sacrament and that with the bread and wine we receive His Body and Blood; and
3) We resolve to dedicate our lives to the service of our Lord in His Body, the Church, through worship, sacrificial giving, and thankful living.
Non-alcoholic wine is available for those who prefer this substitute. Gluten-free wafers are also available. Please inform the pastor of your preference when you approach. Children are invited to come forward to receive a blessing. If you do not wish to receive Holy Communion but would like a blessing, simply come. forward during the distribution, cross your arms when you approach the Pastor and he will speak a blessing.

Come as you are! You’ll see people in everything from jeans to traditional Sunday best. Whether you’re most comfortable in a t-shirt or a suit, there’s a place for you here.

Address: 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine, IL 60067
We have plenty of free parking around the church, including accessible spaces. You can enter from Wood Street or Bothwell Street. Additional parking is available across Wood Street.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Use the main entrance near the flagpole. Friendly greeters will be there to welcome you, answer any questions, and guide you to worship or children’s programs.
Stop by our Check-In Station inside the entrance—our volunteers will help you get connected and ensure your visit goes smoothly.
WORSHIP
Services last about an hour. After Sunday services, enjoy coffee and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall—a great chance to meet others and feel part of the community.
GOT KIDS?
Kids are always welcome in our church — their noise, energy, and activity are signs of life, and we celebrate their presence as part of our worshiping community. We do offer Immanuel Kids - our safe, age-appropriate program for kids age 3 through Grade 5, during our 10:30am Sunday service. Our team will help you check your kids in before the service and make sure they have a great time learning about Jesus in a fun and loving environment. A diaper change station along with a variety of toys and books are available in our Tot Spot outside the sanctuary. Learn More HERE
