Ladies - start your week off right with “Starting Together,” a group that meets at Ost Field In Palatine at 8:00 a.m. on Mondays to walk together and encourage one another. The group gathers from 8:00- 8:15 for some socializing, and then walks for half an hour.
The idea behind Starting Together is for women to meet regularly to connect and be healthier together than they are apart. The group is the brainchild of Jeannette Berger who says, “With others expecting me to be here, I know I’ll go and fulfill my goal of exercising more regularly.” She is hopeful that this group will help many others to realize their goals as well.
Ost Field, behind Cutting Hall and the remodeled Village Hall has a water fountain, porta-potty, picnic tables, convenient parking, and a playground. Women can bring their young children to walk along, ride in a stroller, or play within visual contact. The facilities are conducive for long-term success…Jeanette adds, “my goal is to be ready for the Bobcat Blitz next spring.”
For questions, please contact Jeannette via the church office at 847-359-1549.
