Join us Sunday, August 12, 10:30 a. m. for Backpacks, Blessings and Barbecue at the Bandshell
Last year at the August BBBB we gave away almost 50 backpacks filled with school supplies to students from Virginia Lake Elementary (our Kid’s Hope school). This year we would like to take it a step further.
Here’s what we need (all items must be new):
- Packs of pencils
- Packs of pens
- 24-count crayons
- School boxes
- Wide-lined notebook paper
- Backpacks for elementary school children
- 70-page spiral notebooks
- Glue sticks
- Pocket folders
- Pink erasers
- Box of markers
Items can be dropped off in the labeled boxes in Fellowship Hall in June, July and the first week of August. So keep your eye out for good sales, and pick up something extra! At the BBBB we will be putting all of these items together into the backpacks, assembly line style, and donating them to Virginia Lake. Thank you for your help!
