Pastoral care at Immanuel goes beyond Sunday. While we love to hear from you on Sunday, we welcome listening to you throughout the week as well. Pastoral care covers more than delivering sermons at the weekend services. If we cannot personally meet your needs, we will be happy to recommend someone who can!
We all need prayer of course. However, sometimes there are those moments when we need to pray and talk with someone else more urgently. Immanuel’s pastoral staff is readily available to pray in private with you. If you are dealing with separation or divorce, facing an illness or upcoming hospital stay, experiencing a crisis, have questions about faith, or would simply like to talk to someone, please contact Deaconess Suzanne at 847-359-1549 x 156. Suzanne has many years of experience and training. She may work with you, or suggest that one of the pastors visit with you.
We realize that being in the hospital or at-home for an extended period can be a very unsettling experience. At Immanuel, we want to walk beside you during this time, offering comfort and companionship. We can arrange for meals to be brought to your house, an elder or pastor to bring Holy Communion, or a Stephen Minister to listen to your concerns through a difficult time.
Lonely? Frightened? And in the hospital? Let us help you through this challenging time! A member of the Pastoral team will visit you and make sure that you receive follow-up visits. Ask your family or nurse to let Immanuel know by calling 847-359-1549 or emailing Deaconess Suzanne. Please do not assume that we will know that you are in the hospital.
Home-bound for an extended time? Feeling isolated? Please let us bring you Communion, readings, prayer, and a smile. Contact the church office at 847-359-1549. You can also email Deaconess Suzanne.
