ahg_tl_groupOn December 5, Immanuel’s American Heritage Girls® (AHG) and Trail Life USA troops held their joint Winter Court of Awards and Honors. It was a very special evening where troop members were recognized in front of family and friends for their hard work and accomplishments over the past 8 months. 23 girls and 16 boys received over 300 badges between them! One of those badges was for “Operation Christmas Child” and all of them received it since all of them participated in Immanuel’s Operation Christmas Child project. In fact, both American Heritage Girls and Trail Life troops were instrumental in getting the project off the ground here at Immanuel. There were also three ladies that received their AHG sports pins and 3 that received AHG “level awards,” the highest level American Heritage Girls Awards.

ahgawardsTrail Life members earn “Branch” awards — a “Branch” is an area of program study. Immanuel’s Trail Life troop members received 15 Branches for their accomplishments in different areas such as life skills, values, and outdoor activities. Badges earned by AHG girls include freshwater marine biology, survival search and rescue, bible basics, creative writing, heritage, and outdoor cooking.

Their hard work doesn’t stop there! Currently the troops are working on camping skills, library, and money management.

American Heritage Girls® and Trail Life USA are open to boys and girls, Kindergarten through age 18. We welcome parents, grandparents, and their sons/daughters to join us in furthering their relationship with God through teaching them the gifts He has given each one.

We welcome you to join us. Help us grow the next generation rooted in God’s Word!
